Ugh, Meetby. What a total bust! This dating app was definitely not worth my time and energy. First of all, the user profiles are completely public – anyone can view them regardless if they’re logged in or not. That means you have no control over who sees your profile which is pretty lame since it takes away any sense of privacy that other apps provide their users with. Plus there’s no way to set up a custom bio either so you’re stuck with whatever generic info they give you – talk about boring! And don’t even get me started on the location info; I mean sure it tells people where you live but what if someone wants to keep that private? No such luck here because there’s nothing like an option for hiding your address or anything like that from others’ eyes…ughh!! And speaking of location information…there isn’t really any indication as to how far apart two potential matches might be from each other so this could lead some people into thinking "Hey we’re close by" when actually one person lives five states away haha oops! Also another bummer is that premium subscriptions don’t offer much more than just being able to see who liked/viewed your profile (which doesn’t seem very helpful). There aren’t many perks associated with having a paid account compared to free ones and let me tell ya, after trying out both types myself I wasn’t impressed at all by what I got for shelling out extra cash…so yeah save yourself some money folks ’cause trust me its NOT worth it!!! Finally while using Meetby during my trial period, sadly enough I did come across quite few fake accounts too which makes everything else feel kindof pointless right?!
